About Me

H HI,I'm KangHee — born in Incheon, raised all over Korea, and currently living in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do.

By day, I run a small restaurant in the Ingye-dong neighborhood of Suwon — the kind of place where locals actually eat, not the kind that ends up in tourist brochures. Running a restaurant in Korea means I eat, breathe, and argue about food every single day. And honestly? That's exactly why I started this blog.

I got tired of reading Korea travel guides written by people who visited for two weeks and called themselves experts. I've lived here my whole life. I know which pojangmacha to hit after midnight in Suwon, which beaches locals actually go to (hint: not always Haeundae), and why you should never order the "tourist menu" at any restaurant near a palace.

KangHee's Kingdom is my attempt to hand you the real Korea — the neighborhoods, the food, the culture, and the little moments that don't show up on any map.

No fluff. No recycled listicles. Just what I actually know.
